The Devil and Tom Brady

A very odd thing has happened to my blog over the past month or so. Ever since the Super Bowl the hits on my New England Dissected post have gone through the roof. It seemed like every time I checked my stats someone was feeding “New England” into a search engine until I finally reached 1,002 views. How could that be possible, you ask? Check out the stat just below it. ;)

  1. Not so odd, actually. Just post something relatively mainstream and you’ll get a load of folks interested in that popular thing. Obviously, for a group of blog readers the term “New England” applies to the Patriots and nothing else.

I posted a small RIP for Amy Winehouse and my little adult blog had 4, 500 hits that day.
Since then I’ve tried to avoid things that draw too much attention from an audience my blog isn’t aimed at.

I won’t be posting a blog on “Twilight” or “Hunger Games” any time soon.

And I’m happy to see Satan has taken a personal shine to you. Watch out when your blush becomes permanent.

    • If he gets too close I’ll just throw HR in the way. They’re friends.

  2. WOW! Really? I can’t believe the amount of traffic you’re getting. How long have you been at it? It took me for months to hit 1,000 page views- and that was for my entire blog! Now I’m going on 7 months, and I’m just shy of 2K…

    • LInk, link, link. I will admit that most of my traffic comes from search engine travel. That sounds good in theory, but you should see what they are looking for that lands them here. Yikes.

  3. Too bad you weren’t a Peyton Manning fan.

    • I know. I bet I could’ve gotten a ton more hits with people looking for both him and New York.

  4. I understand why people would search for Tom Brady, I mean I have been looking for him and I can not find him.

  6. Holy sh*t. I have never gotten anywhere near that many hits on anything. Guess I’ll have to start putting Justin Beiber into my titles.
